We have convened one international conference. It was held online, around 500 people attended, around 50 presented, and every accepted abstract was published with a DOI.
1st International Conference on Integrated Care for Chronic Diseases

The conference addressed the integration of care across chronic disease — the problem of a patient with several long-term conditions being treated by several services that do not speak to one another. Around 500 attended. Around 50 presented.
It was held entirely online, and deliberately so. An online conference removes travel cost, visa requirements, and the need to be physically in Lahore on a particular Sunday — the three things that most keep early-career researchers, clinicians on shift rotations, and delegates outside Pakistan away from academic conferences. A clinician in Karachi, a doctoral student in Kuala Lumpur, and a physiotherapist in Lahore attended the same sessions.
The proceedings
Every accepted abstract was published in a dedicated issue of the Journal of Health and Rehabilitation Research and assigned a Digital Object Identifier. A certificate of presentation is a piece of paper; a published abstract with a DOI is a citable output — permanent, findable, and verifiable by anyone who looks it up. For several international delegates this was decisive: their presentation satisfied a conference-presentation requirement for degree completion at their own institution, because there was something permanent to point to.
Those institutions accepted their own students’ presentations against their own requirements. It does not mean Link Medical Interface holds accreditation from any overseas body, and we do not claim that it does.
Future conferences
We have no conference currently scheduled. A second edition was announced and did not take place, and we would rather say so plainly than leave an old announcement standing. When we convene the next one, it will be announced here with a date, a call for abstracts, a fee, and a stated commitment on proceedings — and with the same rule as last time: publish the proceedings, or do not hold the conference.
