Umair Ahmed is a neuro-physical therapy academic at The University of Lahore and directs LMI’s research office. As Director, he leads research support across the organisation — study design, methodology, ethics coordination, grant development, innovation, and researcher training. The office rests on a simple observation: a clinician with a good question and a full ward has no methodologist to call and no ethics committee to submit to, and so the study either does not happen or happens badly. ORIC is the research office such a clinician does not otherwise have.
